Redefining Classics, for Every Sip and Bite
Questions & Answers
What's the difference between Marasca and maraschino cherries?
Marasca is a rare sour cherry (Prunus cerasus var. marasca) native to Dalmatia and parts of Italy, hand-picked and minimally processed. Most maraschino cherries today are sweet cherries that are bleached, soaked in brine, re-dyed bright red and sweetened with corn syrup. Albero d’Oro is the original: real cherry flavor, natural color, nothing artificial.
What do they taste like?
Bold, rich and slightly tart, with an intensely natural cherry flavor. They’re sealed in a tart-and-sweet syrup (50% cherries, 50% syrup), so they’re balanced rather than candy-sweet.
How do I use them?
Drop one in an Old Fashioned, Manhattan or any cocktail. Spoon them over ice cream, cheesecake or pancakes. Fold them into baking and desserts. Use the syrup too: stir it into drinks or drizzle it over desserts.
What’s in the jar, and who is it for?
Hand-picked Marasca cherries and syrup. Naturally non-GMO, Kosher-certified, crafted in Europe. The 120g jar holds about 14 cherries, and the 400g jar about 55.
How much is shipping, and can I save by buying more?
Free shipping on orders over $50. Bundles save: 2 jars is 10% off, 4 jars is 15% off with free shipping, and a full case is 20% off with free shipping.
